Ilkley couple Mr and Mrs Runton now have one of the best possible views of the Ilkley Moors, thanks to their new conservatory from Ilkley Windows.Ilkley Runton

“Our home is in an excellent location, but we felt that we weren’t making the most of the great views,” said Mr Runton.

“We contacted Ilkley Windows for help as we had recently bought a composite entrance door from the company and were impressed with the quality of their products and their after sales service. We had also seen the impressive range of conservatories on show in their showroom!”

“The staff at Ilkley Windows were extremely helpful and worked closely with us to design a conservatory that would meet our needs. Our bungalow is on a steep hill side which overlooks the Moors, so it was important that it could withstand harsh weather conditions, like our composite door.”

Mr and Mrs Runton’s composite door has helped to improve the home’s energy efficiency by offering six times the thermal performance of timber doors. The door was chosen with a white interior and dark brown exterior, to complement the ranch style of the home and its timber windows.

The couple also decided to have their Edwardian style conservatory finished in the same colour scheme as their composite door and the rest of the home. The double hipped lean to roof conservatory features stunning panoramic patio slider doors and manually operated blinds within the glass, to allow Mr and Mrs Runton to control the amount of sunlight that enters the room.

Mr Runton continues: “The service from Ilkley Windows was excellent, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The staff were helpful and efficient – in fact, our conservatory was installed in only three days! We’re very pleased with the strength and energy efficiency of our composite door and we are really enjoying taking in the views from our new conservatory.”

John Gillott, Sales Manager at Ilkley Windows, said: “It’s great to hear that Mr and Mrs Runton are so pleased with their composite door and conservatory. The benefits of adding a conservatory to a home are significant – you are able to create a light and airy extended living space that can be used all year round.”
